Example Chord Practice Routine (There Is No Greater Love)

$0.00

If you subscribe to my method of learning tunes, you’ll believe that it’s important to be familiar with the actual chords from all angles (Bergonzi concept).

Here’s an example practice routine I share with new students as an example of what I mean.

  1. Find 5 recordings you love of this song, you may to listen to way more than 5 to accomplish this.
  2. Play through each of these.  The idea is to play each note of the chord in its own chorus and then the scales ascending and descending.

This is just one example.  You could decide to use the double harmonic scale on major chords if you’d like, but that’s not reflected in this example.
